From Dallas to Madrid: BANG YONGGUK’S Europe Tour 2019

Less than a month ago, fellow team member X.O and I decided to pack our bags on a whim and plan a trip to Spain, a country we both have never been to, marking our first time out of North America. For what you may ask? Originally, it was for vacation. We had all intentions of going to Spain for just vacation up until it was announced that Bang Yongguk would be touring Europe and decided we would visit a city that was part of his tour. Because we were originally heading to Barcelona, we decided that maybe we should go to Paris for the tour, but with our bad luck, the concert sold out the minute we tried to book tickets so in the end, Madrid it was! Without a doubt in mind, we purchased tickets to see the concert and closed the deal. I booked our flights, trains, and accommodations and finally, we were set off to visit the country of Spain where, according to one of our taxi drivers there, “the paella is the best and the metro is the most efficient”.

Before we even set off American soil, we were quick to notice how efficient and down to earth the tour organizers were by the way they interacted with fans of Bang Yongguk through all of their social media handles. They interacted with fans, answered their questions, had fun conversations with them, and overall were able to keep things intimate as well as professional with directing how the day of events would go on. I was both amazed and inspired by their friendliness and chill way of working, something that you rarely find here in America when it comes to concerts and tours.

The day of the actual concert was amazing. The venue was a club in Madrid with an intimate setting and beautifully decorated. Staff and fans were both very efficient when it came to figuring out how lining up would work and making sure everyone was in their right place before doors opened for Gold ticket holders. During the actual hi-touch and photo-op session, I noticed how different K-POP concerts were organized in Europe compared to here in America. Each fan was able to take a photo next to the artist, and the groups were only of four, rather than of 10 to 20. Even the fans were helping staff members switch out fans and make sure the photo-op process was as smooth as possible. It was quite cute to witness and I wish it were to work as well here as it did in Madrid.

The actual concert was my favorite part. Never ever have I witnessed such passion and love for performing as I did when Bang Yongguk began performing. You could see how deep and passionate he was towards his music, his lyrics, and his fans when he began his performance. I stood in the back and was able to take in the intimate atmosphere that arose from the relationship between the artist and his fans. It was so beautiful to witness fans tearing up and crying to both his lyrics and the passion he showcased when performing AM 4:44, a song that spoke deeply to many and whose lyrics showcased his personal struggles physically and emotionally during harsh times back in 2015. It left me speechless to see how a rollercoaster of emotions spread throughout the venue that night with each song performed.

The setlist for the whole concert was based on his first full album, BANG YONGGUK. He performed every song on the album and even performed YAMAZAKI, a song that many fans were very excited to see live for the first time outside of Asia. The atmosphere was never quiet and was always either heartfelt or hype, a perfect combination of emotions for an outstanding show. Even in the beginning, before show even began, there was a DJ, DJ EBONY, as the opening act, and fans were happily dancing and jamming out to his music. I found it hilarious when he played “Gasolina” by Daddy Yankee which to my surprise, was actually a requested song by the fans. It brought tears of laughter to my eyes because it was a song that threw me back to my old elementary and middle school years.

As the show closed, the staff apologized for earlier misunderstandings and thanked everyone for their cooperation and patience. They even took photos with the fans which I found adorable and reminded me so much of KPD, who always takes photos at the end of every KWF or event we put on. K-EVENTS were honestly one of the best organizers I have ever had the pleasure to witness in work, and their personality and friendliness with fans reminded me so much of my team (KPD) when it came to our old times of working behind the scenes at concerts in Dallas and at our own organized events. It was heartwarming to see that there are people out there in the industry who want nothing but everything for the fans and only the fans. They had so much love and care and thought for the fans, that it truly made me smile and wish more organizers were like them when it came to concerts and tours. Along with them, I was amazed at how passionate and how much love the artist had for his craft and his fans. It was like a breath of fresh air to attend a concert where it didn’t even feel super strict or commercially made/produced like others I’ve been to. It felt free, real and intimate. I wish more concerts and shows were like this one was.

To conclude, I want to thank K-EVENTS for their amazing organization and friendliness throughout the tour, and of course to Bang Yongguk for an amazing show that will be engraved into my memories as one of the best concerts I’ve ever attended. I also want to thank his staff and to all the fans in Madrid who were welcoming to both of us despite us being from out of the country. If K-EVENTS were ever to venture overseas, or if you are ever able to attend any of their concerts or events in Europe, I highly recommend them, and if Bang Yongguk were ever to perform in the U.S, I highly recommend you to attend one of his shows. You will not be disappointed.

BTS Playing Card Games in Dallas!

Good Afternoon guys!!! This week I will be reviewing the VLIVE’s stickers. I bought BTS’s UNIVERSTAR BT21: Must Have Emoji characters. I am able to use these stickers in the BTS and BTS+ channel. Honestly they are the cutest stickers ever! I was able to use the stickers on BTS’s latest episode, episode 68.

KakaoTalk_Photo_2019-03-21-14-28-02.jpegKakaoTalk_Photo_2019-03-21-14-28-59.jpeg

This episode is special to me because they were in Dallas when they filmed this episode!!! When they said Dallas I was like YUHHHHH THATS MY HOMETOWN!! Haha anyways it looked like they were in a meeting room of the hotel. At the same time I felt sad because the boys were not able to view or explore the great town of Dallas! I mean the first time they came for the RED BULLET TOUR thousands of fans waited for them at the airport to result the boys never came because they flew private. A lot of fans left the airport sad and disappointed.

IMG_4122.PNG

I remember when they went to Six Flags the first time they came around and they wanted to go this time again and the park was closed. One of the members mentioned it during the concert and I think it was Jin who mentioned it but I don’t remember exactly. How awesome would it be to bump into them at Six Flags! I would have tried to challenge them on who would ride the Texas Giant with me but in the very front !! 😂

Back to the episode! They were playing a really confusing game that I didn’t even understand after going back and reading the rules twice! Omg some of the fans in the comments even said they didn’t even understand it either and I was like SAME!! 😂 As much as I wanted to understand it I couldn’t! I just kept watching for their expressions and to spam them with the stickers I bought LOL.

200w.gif

This was me during the whole game LMAO

They reminded so much of my friends and I when we play games! When we would spend hours at Gongcha playing UNO and slap. We were those loud people in the corner cursing and screaming at each other! 😂 It was honestly impossible for us to be quiet there… I’m always aggressive when I play games so I was Jin in this episode trying to beat everyone!

KakaoTalk_Photo_2019-03-21-14-36-41.jpeg

This is my friends and I 😂

This game had a punishment too. So the loser would have to wear a t-shirt that Jimin personally designed a while back he didn’t even remember. To result Jimin ended up being the loser and had to wear his own t-shirt LMAO it would be him. He had to wear it returning back to Korea! I looked it up online and he did wear it!! J-Hope and V tagged along and wore it too, omg how cute. I bet they were like, we can’t leave our homeboy suffer alone 😂 Even though J-Hope was in the winning team with Suga.

ARMYS~~

I was going to watch the BTS+ episode which I think it was the same one but with different content, because they also started the video by screaming WORK HARD IN DALLAS, WORK HARD IN DALLAS, DALLASSSSS! LOL These kids 😂 But I couldn’t watch it because I had to pay. If you’re subscribed to their plus channel then definitely watch it and let me know what games they played haha!

KakaoTalk_Photo_2019-03-21-14-42-42.jpeg

Hope you guys liked my blog post!! I swear I will return with a video soon!! Please wait for me!! Let me know what other content you guys want to see or would like me to review as well! Until next time, hope you guys are having a wonderful week! BYEE~~!!!

[V.FRIENDS] VLIVE Lightsticks and Stickers!

Hello everyone! I’m back with another review for VLIVE! This time, rather than home in Dallas, I’m coming at you from Madrid, Spain!

This week, we are reviewing two features that were added to VLIVE to enhance your experience through the app with a cute and techy twist!

If you’re a frequent user of messaging apps, you may have noticed that almost all of them offer a sticker feature when sending messages. Well, it turns out that the VLIVE app also offers this feature! While watching your favorite idol’s VLIVE broadcast, you are able to send messages and stickers during their broadcast. For reviewing purposes, I purchased and downloaded some cute BT21 stickers off of BTS’s VLIVE Store. To my advantage, it turned out that Jin’s broadcast from earlier today was available to rewatch! Since I was bored and relaxing after a long flight, I decided to give the stickers a try and watch the broadcast.

IMG_0328.JPG

One major thing I love about the stickers compared to other services that offer stickers for messaging, is that you receive  a ton of them in a set! If you knew me, you would know that my KKT account is filled with stickers that I’ve bought throughout the years and to be honest, none of the sets come with as many stickers as the ones in the VLIVE store. Because of this, there’s definitely a variety to choose from so whatever emotion you’re feeling can easily be portrayed! 😄

IMG_0331.JPG

Moving on to the next and final feature I’ll be reviewing which is the lightsticks feature! This feature allows you to send 2x as many hearts during a broadcast. Although very helpful in getting more hearts for your favorite idols broadcasts, ,the lightsticks feature isn’t my favorite compared to the stickers feature mostly because I don’t see myself using this feature as much. The main reason is that although nifty and cute, I tend to watch VLIVE broadcasts on my breaks or on random whims so I don’t really send many hearts to begin with OTL I KNOW IM A HORRIBLE FAN

Although I don’t personally use this feature, I must admit it’s quite nifty to be able to go ham on hearts during a broadcast and show your support. I must also admit that I enjoy the cute 3D mode offered with lightsticks and I can see it being useful when you’re jamming out with friends to a concert DVD and don’t own a physical lightstick. You could definitely pull out your virtual one and jam out with it and have a mini concert in your room. LOL

VLIVE has been adding various features to their app for the longest and I’m excited to see what else they’ll offer.

If you would like to purchase a lightstick or sticker, visit your VLIVE app, click on the middle shopping bag icon the click either stickers or lightsticks and purchase from there! I HIGHLY recommendthe stickers because they’re super cute and add a little bit of love to messages you send your favorite idols~

[V.FRIENDS] ASMR X HIGHLIGHT, ASTRO, & LEE MINHYUK – by 눕방 LieV

V.FRIENDS Reviewing time! Have you guys noticed how huge ASMR has gotten as of late? It’s blown up and everyone nowadays is talking about it. It’s in commercials, entertainment media sites, and all over YouTube. Did you know it’s also on V.LIVE with your favorite idols? 😀

This month, I’ll be reviewing a couple of clips on VLIVE’s Laying Down Broadcast category, where your favorite idols host a broadcast of them in their comfy pajamas, lying down. It’s one of my favorite types of VLIVE videos because it’s so comfortable to watch and usually, the backgrounds and setups for these broadcasts are always well made and ~aesthetically~ pleasing. Along with my favoritism for 눕방’s, I also enjoy ASMR on the daily as it helps me fall asleep at night.

astro1

First ASMR clip I watched was boy group ASTRO’s ASMR cooking clip of them making 호떡(hotteok) which is a sweet pancake filled with, usually, brown sugar and nuts. It’s quite delicious and I highly recommend giving it a try if you ever get the chance! What I liked about this video clip in particular, is how delicate they were when making the hotteok and how “ASMR-y” they were when whispering into the microphone. They whispered into the microphone and even made ‘sound effects’ while forming the hotteok! I found it cute how he demonstrated every step of the process. 🙂

minhyuk

Second ASMR clip was Lee Minhyuk from BTOB! Like my previous review of VIXX’s LEO’s ASMR broadcast, he also did writing sounds ASMR broadcast. For his writing, Minhyuk decided to list down a bucket list. In his list, he mentioned his fans, MELODY’s which I found super cute. What I noticed was that instead of using a regular old desk, broadcast staff gave him a lap desk made out of wood which totally adds to the ASMR effect because of the crisp sounds you get when doing anything with wood. I enjoyed especially when he began tapping on the wood. ~Tingles galore~

b

The last ASMR clip was of members from HIGHLIGHT! The members creating the ASMR sounds were Gikwang and Junhyung. Gikwang was in charge of making keyboard typing sounds, while Junhyung made mouse clicking sounds. I found that Gikwang’s keyboard typing sounds were softer and less intense than Junhyung’s mouse clicking LOL but that was mostly because Junhyung was definitely having a kick outta the whole ASMR thing. You could also see the other members in the back just chilling, especially one who was lying down, sleeping (SAME DUDE SAME).

Because I can’t really review each video on it’s own considering the style and format are all the same apart from the different types of ASMR triggers made, I will be reviewing it as a whole.

Firstly, I enjoy that VLIVE chooses to give each idol different triggers to re-enact during these broadcasts. Rather than every idol doing the same trigger, they have them do different ones i.e keyboard typing, mouse clicking, cooking, writing, etc. Another thing I thorougly enjoy, as mentioned earlier, is how nice and aesthetic all the setups for these broadcasts are. They’re always well decorated and very pleasing to the eyes and also relaxing. The BIGGEST thing I’m most thankful for and also enjoy the most is the fact that the sound quality is top notch. When it comes to ASMR, sound quality is the utmost important thing because the whole focus of the videos are on the sounds and triggers. If the sound quality is no good, then it’s not really much of an ASMR video, is it?

Per usual, video quality is very clear and HD when it comes to VLIVE videos. Usually, live non-pre recorded broadcasts tend to be not great in terms of video quality, but these broadcasts that are pre-recorded and scripted have HD quality that makes the experience fully enjoyable. 🙂

If you ever want to watch more ASMR style clips by your favorite idols, their lying down broadcasts usually showcase them, otherwise, you can find these clips separate under the VCOOKIE channel! If you would like to watch the clips I reviewed about, their links are down below as well, just make sure to sign in and change to ENGLISH~!

#WorkingOut with josh&bamui

Helloooooo guys! I hope everyone has been enjoying the new year so far. Lately I have been super busy changing my lifestyle as well like, working out 5 times a week instead of just 1-2 times, changing my eating habits and diet. So, today’s review will be about josh&bamui’s V.LIVE channel focusing in beauty and diet exercises! If you’re always looking for new ways to be healthy or simply looking for an exciting and fun workout then you’re in the right place!

IMG_3857

IMG_3858

josh&bamui’s channel is all about working out to the latest kpop or pop songs! They create their own choreography but they also incorporate moves to keep your heart rate pumping. I definitely recommend checking out their channel if you’re bored of doing the same boring workouts. They have about 20+ videos on their channel their latest one is DALLA DALLA and I gotta tell you that workout LOOKS INTENSE!! I’m definitely doing this tonight after my run.

IMG_3870

Josh and Bamui made a workout dance video on 7 Rings by Ariana Grande and it’s a lot of fun to dance too! It doesn’t even feel like you’re working out at all because you’re dancing but with a little more intensity! They incorporate a lot of punches and jumping which is super good because that increases your heart rate that makes you burn a lot more calories!

100

Because lets face its 2019 and its time I start working out and start looking good for myself #selflove. I believe it’s important we take care of bodies, mind and soul because not only does it makes us look good but it also makes us feel confident af! And I’m all about being confident and bold! Never be afraid of going after what you love!

ROOFTOP LIVE with Ravi

Helllooooo everyone!! This weeks episode of V.Friends I will be reviewing Ravi’s Rooftop live song Frypan and other content! (P.S I always like to give a little story time relating to what I am reviewing. Hope you guys like my stories!)

Out of all the other talented artists I chose Ravi, because he was my old bias… haha I have moved onto another bias (or maybe bias(es) LOL). I’m sorry I just can’t have ONE ultimate bias because two of my favorite groups are BIGBANG and EXO. Both groups have such a different dynamic vibe that both deliver something totally beyond of what expected and I love it.

Don’t get me wrong, VIXX is a talented group with their unique feel and once upon a time KPD was in love with VIXX. Our love for VIXX grew when KPD was fortunate enough to be a part of two of their tours. And… let me tell you, for both tours we have SUPER CRAZY STORIES to tell! Ya’ll let us know if you guys ever want us to make a video of our experiences with these idols! Of course we will only say what is appropriate to the viewers but, what we can definitely say is working with kpop artists consists time, passion, commitment, LITERALLY  blood, sweat & tears and adrenaline! It may have been stressful times but, at the end it was all worth it.

VIXX-Kpop-7.jpg

KPD’s favorite VIXX era! 💖😭

Right of the bat the video quality is A1!! It gives of a really cool and trendy vibe feel with Ravi coming out a spitting FIREEEE!! The first song he performs is Frypan ft. Double K & Microdot. The lyrics of the song is pretty much cooking food on the frypan but the meaning of the song goes deeper than that. The interpretation I got is pretty much describing the success of the group. The gang made it, we here, we’re the best and no one can touch us sorta vibe! The rappers chose really cool and clever context to express their feelings and get the message across.

IMG_3256.PNG

Of course he’s wearing his GUCCI belt! XD

He also performed his song Sparring+Payback which was another fast paced song! These two songs come from his 3rd mixtape K1TCHEN. And honestly after watching these two songs I’m going to listen to the rest of the mixtape. In the past I have not been much of a fan of Ravi’s mixtapes but this one I might have to give in and give it a chance! (please don’t come after me! This is just my opinion and I am not throwing hate at all. I believe very artist is amazing by just being able to make it in the industry so cheers for all the kpop artists!!)

IMG_3262.PNG

Ravi’s rapping style is super different from any other rapper in the Korean hip-hop community. You know it’s Ravi for his low husky voice and fast rapping technique. Also when he raps it looks like he’s looking into your soul like eyes of a tiger like ready to jump onto his enemy. But in reality Ravi can be a HUGE dork when he’s with Ken and Hyuk…. OMG KPD used to call those three the 3 amigos or the 3 dorks! XD Just because them together it meant trouble or they would just pick on poor Leo and Leo would just be in his own little world.

SOOMPIVIXX71.jpg

This day was unforgettable and will forever be in our memories as our first kpop to work with!

This consists of my review of Ravi’s Rooftop Series on the V APP for the 3rd episode of V.Friends!!

Thank you all and see you all next time!!!!

[V.FRIENDS] 자장가 & ASMR X VIXX LEO – by 눕방 LieV

2

Hello everyone! For this weeks’ V.Friends review, I’ll be reviewing one of my old bias’s ASMR 눕방 and his lullaby 눕방~!

Now, I’ve been a huge fan of VIXX since around the time they came to Dallas because KPD was lucky enough to help out for their concert! Not only were they sweet and very talented, but they were also kind enough to tell us to thank you for our hard work after the concert ended. Since then, they hold a special place in my heart for their kindness that day. Although I don’t stan them like I used to, their music are still bops to me!

1

For Leo’s lullaby V-COOKIE video which is actually part of his longer “LieV” video, he’s sitting on a couch in his PJ’s singing a lullaby for everyone to sleep. I absolutely adore these kinds of videos because they’re more intimate for individual members and also, it’s sorta semi-natural considering the idols are dressed in their pajamas and they’re able to talk as they wish freely. Not as free as a regular random broadcast, but also not as structured as a heavily scripted broadcast. It has a nice in-between feel due to the nice aura, portrait shot, and chosen attire.

3

Now, for the second V-COOKIE in his LieV video, he’s giving me the tingles with his ASMR! Now, guilty as charged, ASMR is a guilty pleasure of mine and it’s been growing rapidly as of late so it’s really nice to see some of our favorite idols try out ASMR! Now, his version of ASMR, is, of course, him writing! A long going meme around the Starlight fandom is that Leo has been dubbed Leocasso LOL because of his…interesting drawings. I was hoping that we would see some of his drawings, but this clip just showed him trying out ASMR by writing something out (which I wish I could read OTL).

I’m actually a bit shocked at how lovely quality the sound is. It almost reminds me of the ASMR sound quality of videos on YouTube that I watch every now and then to fall asleep! What a nice surprise. I wonder if I should do ASMR….HMMM.

Well, anyhow, let’s start on the actual review for each part of these two clip videos. As you know, my reviews are usually split into three categories: quality of the video, video content, and of course editing/audio. For these two clips, I’m really really surprised at the rating.

For video content, I give it a ★★★★★5 out of 5 stars (WOW) mostly because the content of the video matches perfectly with the title. IT was sweet and to the point. For the lullaby, he sang a lullaby (which I swooned over of course). For the ASMR video, he did ASMR, and although I wish it would’ve been longer, it still was what was expected.

For the quality of the video, I give it a ★★★★★5 out of 5 stars. I absolutely love how they shot it in portrait for the actual LieV, and kept it portrait for the clips. It certainly does give it that “I’m lying down and on my phone recording” sort of feel which I appreciate, and although it’s obviously scripted, it still has that nice casual effect. The quality of the video is HD wonderful, which means it definitely did not look like it was filmed at random. It was well in quality.

Now, as for the audio and editing, there is some editing and the audio is something to my surprise that was really good! For the ASMR video, I was pleasantly surprised that the quality of the ASMR was like the quality I watch of regular ASMR videos on YouTube. The directors and production staff must’ve done their research for ASMR and really took into consideration how ASMR is made and what exact microphones and settings to put that microphone on to use. I really appreciate that aspect! As for the editing, although I wish I could’ve understood what the captions were saying as they weren’t English subbed as the RM Mono captions were, I still like how they matched the overall theme of the video in terms of color use (they didn’t use black font, but rather a yellow font that would pop against the dark imagery in the video). Because of all these points, I give audio and editing a ★★★★★ 5 out of 5 (the ASMR sound quality really saved the editing here!)
Overall, these two videos were perfect in my opinion and met my expectations, receiving a perfect 5 out of 5. I enjoyed them and watched the full LieV not too long after!

MY PICK ON V PICK! THIS WEEK ON V. FRIENDS!

got7.jpg

HEYYYOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!

IT’S CHRISTMASSSS!!! WOOOOO HAHA OKAY OKAY (DON’T KILL ME)

200

Whoa who remembers this?! XD

This weeks episode of V.Frirends is my favorite pick on the V PICK! channel series. If the cover didn’t give it away you’re right, it’s GOT7!!!

In this short episode of V PICK! GOT7 gave a thankful message to all the IGOT7’s around the world for helping them obtain two titles, Artist of the year and Best Popular award at the Asia Artist Awards!

As usual they couldn’t move forward without having to roast Youngjae and his embarrassing airport fashion sense and bad choice of shoes! LOL

In the video GOT7 showed their gratitude towards IGOT7s for their uttermost support they have shown GOT7 throughout the years. Not to mention also announcing their latest title song that will be coming out soon called, Miracle!

iZcT1wAl.jpg

OMG I can’t wait! Look at these 7 handsome men XD

The boys briefly talked about the title song and what it meant to them. JB expressed how the song Miracle would reveal the feelings and experiences they had to face throughout the years as a group. In the short description JB gave I was able to interpret that the meaning of the song would be about looking back in life the hardships you had to face. The good vibes you experienced along the way and how it was all worth it in the end. What matters the most is that you’re standing stronger than ever and glad you were able to stuck through it all. Also, always giving thanks to the people who help you along the way. (emo and wise Jessi came out LOL)

Honestly, I have to say that those boys have progressively improved so much throughout the years. Not only as musicians and artists but has individuals as well. The most growth I’ve seen from the group would have to be BamBam because, he debuted at such a young age and to see him grow into the person he is today is truly remarkable. To me he’s still the same young, dorky, smiley and playful looking kid! XD

200w-1.gif

OMG who still remembers BamBam’s streak of dabbing 😂

I still remember seeing them in the survival show of WINNER in the episode where YG trainees and JYP trainees would battle each other out showing their suave moves and vocals, to which I thought the JYP kids killed them in the dancing category. Sorry WINNER and iKON but GOT7 took the title home.

DDuJOtCVYAAWeUF.jpg

Not to mention, their very first fanmeet in the states!! KPOP Dallas had the honor to participate and contribute in the event when they first came to Dallas!! Our KPD team has so many stories of our back-stage times with GOT7! I think I will leave that for another time because it is long and funny af. Or maybe in the future I can do a video in regards of all the artists and shows we have had the pleasure to collaborate with. The year 2015 was an incredible year for us as in growth and in experiences to which I am eternally grateful for.

CBu8oNTUoAEKxeN.jpg

With that I leave with my favorite video of V PICK!

Hope to see you all in my next blob post of V.Firends! I swear I’m working on getting some videos up. I’ve just been so busy at work and stressed that I have had no time to get everything going up, but I swear it will be soon!

Byeeee my loves!!

[V.FRIENDS] V PICK! RM’s Mono

Untitled

Good afternoon everyone! We are back with another V.Friends review, this time for the V.LIVE channel “V PICK!”. As per usual, each review contains our honest opinions of the content featured by V.LIVE, usually spaced out by three categories for Lily’s reviews: video quality, video content, video editing & audio.

Today, we will be talking about a V Pick! video titled [BTS] 오늘도 평화로운 김덜렁씨의 하루 (RM talking about his mixtape ‘MONO’) which showcases clips from the main video, RM MONO Behind 😎

In this V PICK! video, we see the best moments from RM’s VLIVE video, including some funny moments that occurred while recording. As you all may guess, not everything goes as planned during VLIVE recordings, and sometimes we are left with some cute, funny wholesome scenes that showcase how artists are humans too. For example, in the video RM accidentally bumps into his skateboards as he walks out of his studio. The camera continues rolling as he cleans them on the other side, so you’re left just staring at his studio which is FILLED with bearbricks and tons of figurines.

The video is quite short, but I decided to watch his full video on the BTS VLIVE channel where he talks more in-depth about his mixtape. If you haven’t already done so, you should really listen to it! As he said, he was hoping to have his fans ‘feel’ that they’re in a certain situation or season when listening to the album, and trust me, that’s exactly how I felt (I absolutely adore track ‘Seoul’).  I don’t want to spoil everything that happens in the main video, so make sure to check that out as linked above!

Now to review the quality of the video, I would rate it ★★★★☆ 4 out of 5 stars. The quality of the video is quite HD and you can clearly make out everything shown in each picture frame. The only thing that sort of threw me off was the filter that’s probably placed on the video. It sorta makes RM look pale, but I suppose that’s not a bad thing. It’s just nice to see them naturally!

As for the video content, the VPICK video is short, but per usual, most VPICK videos are short considering they are just clips from the main video. I did enjoy the funny casual clips that were inserted, and also the main point, which was RM talking about his mixtape. The end clip which was “technical difficulties” during the VLIVE also was quite humorous. I would give the content also a ★★★★☆ 4 out of 5 stars.

Lastly, let’s review the video editing and audio. I LOVE the video editing in the V PICK video. I always find the cute captions and word art popping on the bottom always quite pleasurable to watch because it reminds me of those Korean variety shows like Running Man and the Return of Superman or even We Got Married. The clips also flowed very well so editing wise, it was total 5 out of 5. As for audio, apart from the ending technical difficulties which were meant to be part of the video, the audio was crisp and clear with or without headphones. I absolutely dislike it when speaker audio and headphone audio sounds different, but this was overall pretty smooth and the same. Because of that, audio also gets a 5 out of 5, bringing the average of this category to ★★★★★ 5 out of 5!

Overall, I enjoyed watching the V PICK and then proceeding to watch the actual VLIVE video from the BTS channel. I actually didn’t know what V PICK was up until this review, and you can certainly bet I’ll be watching more of these smaller videos on my spare time if I ever miss a vlive from my favorite groups. The overall rating for this is 4.7 stars out of 5! 🙂

Vlive Friends Season 5!

Who’s Your Fave?

Me every time I hear someone mention my faves

Hi Guys!! Annddddd we’re back with Vlive Friends Season 5!!! WOOOOO!! I hope you guys are excited as we are because, there are a lot more exciting things stored this season. I’m actually sad because I wanted to make a video for this post but, I got sick this weekend I lost my voice. I’m barely recovering my voice and I have to save it for tomorrows concert (DPR Live)!! Hopefully by the next one I can make a video for you guys!!

Our mission for this episode of Vlive Friends we were asked to review our favorite Vlive Channel. Honestly this one was a tough one because I follow a lot of channels especially all my favorite Kpop artists like BIGBANG, EXO, VAV, Highlight etc… I especially enjoyed watching BIGBANG’s MADE Tour last stop in Seoul because it really made me feel like I  was at the concert! Before it started I literally got ready for this concert, I mirrored my phone to my Apple TV, turned on my Bose, grabbed my BIGBANG light stick, and headed to the living room ready for this concert. There I was dancing furiously to Fantastic Baby!! *whispers Yeogi buteora* haha I cranked up the volume up so high I was so sure my neighbors could hear me XD

This is my version of dancing Fantastic Baby

Don’t get me started with their Kpop video teasers!! I alway see the teaser first on Vlive and then on YouTube. I get the notifications so fast I instantly watch the teaser. Like when I saw the VAV’s Señorita teaser MV on Vlive I made sure to click the heart icon a million times, I went crazy!!

This is me after every teaser I watch of my favesss

Okay, other than me choosing my favorite kpop bands as my favorite Vlive channel I chose Dingo Music as one of my favorite channels. I absolutely love the when they do the 100 seconds video of an artist. It’s actually a really clever idea to do with the Kpop groups. It allows them to showcase 100 seconds of all their popular songs in one short video. I think they should show more rookie groups that way they can get more exposure. Plus it would help with their popularity!

I wish they would post more often though like they do on facebook. I know on facebook they have like different branches of Dingo. For example they have a food channel (which is my favorite to watch), travel (and by travel I mean by what places to explore when you’re in Korea), beauty, and close ups of my favorite artists. They like to focus on one member throughout the whole video like a fancam. Dingo should really have a channel for every category but, then again I guess we have facebook for that.

I would definitely be on that Dingo food channel if they had it. For example, every week welcome a celebrity chef or a kpop artist to cook or showcase their favorite meal, dish or snack! Reminds me of when EXO D.O cooked soybean paste soup (Doenjang Jjigae) on their channel. Ma baby was looking like a true snack haha… I mean chef! I even followed his recipe to make it at home! I literally went back to my saved videos and watched his episode again just so I could follow his steps.

Point is that I have a lot favorite channels on Vlive haha… I talked about so many different channels on here I simply couldn’t choose one… So This concludes of my review! Before I leave, leave a comment below on what you would like to see from the Vlive Friends. Literally thing you can think of! We always think about you guys, our fans, so please let us know what you want to see next. Thanks!
